I do not believe it is possible to play the original EGA games with the latter. However, RPGfan40 is asking about this game: With that said, BT1 and BT2 are still classic versions, released in the 80s and early 90s, and they play more like other classic versions than like the remaster.Ġ1kipper: The game referred to by dtgreene and abbayarra is this one: I also found a way to adventure with an empty party.) (In BT2, I did have one of my caster's stats get corrupted somehow, which I noticed when they leveled up and gained a stat point for a stat that should have already been maxed out, but had went down for some reason. ![]() These games, particularly BT1, may also be the least buggy of the classic versions. These versions have improved graphics and sound compared to the original Apple 2 versions (though I believe at least some of the bard songs were changed entirely), and even some new features (notably, BT2 has automapping and save anywhere). Bard's Tale 3 is the original version, in all its Apple 2 goodness (though I've heard that some of the graphics may be corrupted, but not in a way that impacts playability).īard's Tale 1 and 2, on the other hand, are the versions that were, in a sense, remade for the Apple 2GS. I feel like old games with dated graphics and clunky sound should be appreciated the same way that old black and white movies with dated special effects are appreciated. ![]() Then I can still play the original 3 Bard's Tale games withe EGA graphics and so forth? The way the games were originally programmed? I don't like remasters and remakes. &gclid=CjwKCAjwyaWZBhBGEiwACslQowXW4pCBXSFmu8_8bLds8y471jHt0iDnNjtTN3Y_06nETZ_4WAGdVBoCrzsQAvD_BwE
